NEW FOR 2010
“Walk the extra mile”
19 June 2010 This is the third year we have lead the 7.5 mile circular walk along Hadrian’s Wall, and a special day it was too. Richard Lane OBE, President of Diabetes UK was joined by many family, friends and supporters to raise funds for diabetes research. Richard was one of the first people in the UK to receive Islet cell transplants, and is thrilled that he exceeded his personal target of £15,000, although he is still hoping to raise more. A special thank you to everyone from us it was nice to meet new walkers and catch up with old friends.Diabetes UK have booked us to lead one of their “Walk in the Park” activities, they have chosen our 7.5 mile circular route on Hadrian’s Wall.
