National Navigation Award Scheme
The National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) and Young Navigator Award Scheme (YNAS) is a personal performance, non-competitive, incentive scheme for all ages to develop navigation skills, gain confidence and enhance the participant’s enjoyment of the countryside.
NNAS
Currently we offer the award at Bronze level, which focuses on navigation using paths, tracks and other linear features, basic map interpretation and compass work. Check the activity programme link on the home page for course dates or speak to us to discuss a personal programme for your award.

Bronze Award
YNAS
The focus of the Young Navigator Awards is to encourage exploration and journeying in local areas using simple maps. There is a gradual learning progression via one star (Bronze), two star (Silver) and three star (Gold) levels. We offer the YNAS at all three levels it is suitable for schools as part of the curriculum or as an after school activity or Bronze Duke of Edinburgh groups, contact us to discuss a package to meet your needs.
John Muir Award
Open to all the John Muir award is an environmental award scheme focused on wild places. It encourages awareness and responsibility for the natural environment in a spirit of fun and adventure and understanding. The award is suitable for schools, youth groups, colleges, individuals and families. Contact us for more information and to discuss a course for your group.
Camping Skills
Our camping skills course will cover all aspects of camp craft to give you the knowledge and confidence needed for an overnight stay in the countryside. The course is a fun activity for after school clubs/alternative curriculum activities, suitable for Duke of Edinburgh award participants or family groups.
